Spinning Wheel

I bought a used louet S15 spinning wheel on Etsy  Last week it came in the mail yesterday and I spun for like 5 hours! One of the biggest reasons I wanted to spin my own yarn is that there are no local yarn shop around here and I HATE going to hobby lobby also nice wool yarn is expensive. About a year ago I bought a little drop spindle a used that up tell now I would recommend starting with a drop spindle to anyone its so easy!                                                                              Yarn I spun on a drop spindle dyed with onion skins

I can get wool roving at the farmers market a block from my house (take that hobby lobby!) My Goal is to get to the point were I can make a good quality yarn and sell it to people in my area interested in local yarn.

Here are some of the spinners that have inspired me!

1. Girlwithasword 2. extase 3. atomicblue 4. Pumpkinhaus 5. pluckyfluff

  1. Oh you will really enjoy your spinning wheel. My husband found an Ashford Traditional at a garage sale for $15.00 last year! I love spinning and use my wool yarn in my rug hooking. This summer I want to learn to do tapestry weaving and pin weaving as a way to use my yarn. Have fun!
